This Sabrab Architecture residence stands out as a masterful exercise in contemporary architecture, nestled within the timeless landscape of Comporta. The design explores the contrast between pure-lined white cubic volumes and the deep green of cork oaks and umbrella pines, creating a harmonious dialogue between the building and the Atlantic nature.
Roof Terraces and Panoramic Views
The building is arranged on slightly staggered levels, each featuring a panoramic roof terrace. These terraces offer privileged viewpoints over the pine forest and the distant horizon, inviting contemplation of the sunset.
Interior–Exterior Connection
Large glass doors seamlessly unite interior and exterior spaces, providing expansive views and abundant natural light. When opened onto light-wood decks, they create outdoor living areas that flow uninterrupted into the house.
Site Placement and Preservation of Comporta’s Soil
A careful placement atop a bed of pale sand preserves the natural soil and local ecosystem. Meandering paths, marked only by stones and low vegetation, gently guide visitors to the main entrance, reinforcing integration with the pine woods.
